The Hidden World of Bacteria That Lives Inside Us

Click here to listen to the interview. The interview is also currently featured in an article on the station’s online counterpart, WRVO.org. During the interview, Dr. Kellman discusses The Microbiome Diet – the role in which our friendly gut bacteria play in determining, and improving, our health. Specifically, he explains what the microbiome is, and exactly how it plays a crucial role in all systems/functions of the body – such as our immune function, digestion, and in weight loss. In addition, Dr. Kellman goes on to highlight the importance of eating foods that contain healthy bacteria, because “when these foods get to your stomach they make friends with the other good bacteria in there, and voila – you have a happy microbiome.”
