Welcome to the Kellman Wellness Center. We’ve put together some of the questions we hear the most from prospective patients to help you get to know us, and how we work. If you have additional questions, please call us at 212-717-1118 and speak to one of our patient representatives.
What is Integrative and Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine is a science-based health care approach to assess, prevent and treat complex chronic disease. Dr. Kellman was one of the first doctors to identify the microbiome, and gut health, as a primary component in overall health and wellness. Functional medicine evaluates the body as a whole with special attention to the relationship of one body system to another and the bacterial and nutrient imbalances, toxic overload and other barriers that may adversely affect these relationships.
Most illness is chronic and almost always preceded by a lengthy period of declining function in one or more of the body’s systems. Functional medicine is a new clinical model that replaces outdated and ineffective acute-care models of health care to return patients to wellness.
The Kellman Wellness Center is known worldwide for its superior testing model. With our groundbreaking testing, we are able to find the deepest root causes of your illness. From there, we create a treatment plan which might consist of IV Vitamins, natural compounds, supplements and our advanced technology treatments.
